I expected covid era to end in the first quarter of this year but alas! danger is still there. The variants of the pandemic virus are making news. It is risky to move out and travel or to attend to any function. We got the good news of the vaccination drive and we are done with both doses on March 31, 2020. The pandemic had been spreading fast as a second wave since the fourth week of March. The positive rate is 19% and one in five is corona covid positive. The government of Karnataka announced a lock down from April 24 to May 10 and extended till May 24, 2021. We are lucky we made some visits/touring during January to March. We cancelled the long awaited tour to Allahabad to attend a marriage function at my friend Tirth Raj Mishra's village. We were to be there in the last week of April. It seems the year 2021 is going to be a quarantine year.

I finished an important write-up in my personal blog. I put an end to updating four blogs that were created out of my passion. There is no end to the source of knowledge. But I feel it's now enough. I have enough free time, hence, only very important information is being updated.

During the last week of March 2021 we made a week's visit to the countryside away from city areas and spent some good time there. Gayathri made some friends too.

We were thinking of visiting Bommagatta to attend 'Rathotsava' celebrations. But, the celebrations were cancelled as per government guidelines.

Gayathri visited Bangalore on April 8, 2021. Gayathri and Prerana's family went to Chennai for Visa stamping purpose. While returning Viva and Vidu accompanied her to spend some 2 weeks in Mysore. Both Viva and Vidu were very happy to stay with us. Prerana visited Mysore on April 21 and returned to Bangalore with her kids on April 26, 2021.

On November 20, 2021 Gayathri's sister Rupa and family along with my mother-in-law Leelavathi visited our home.

On December 9, 2021 I went to Bangalore to attend brother Badari's fourth annual ceremony. On 10th I visited Srinivasa Gupta's home and spent some time there in the evening. Vijayendra joined me.

Gayathri and I went to my friend Vasanth Lakshmanrao Kulkarni's home in Bagalkot. It was a long awaited visit and I made it happen this December 2021. We all visited Toravi, Muttagi, Yalgur, Tulasigeri during our visit.
