Cricket is a game, Indians love it
most young boys like watching it
specially when our team is involved in it
whether its a World Cup Trophy
or a Three or Four Nations' Trophy.
most young boys like watching it
specially when our team is involved in it
whether its a World Cup Trophy
or a Three or Four Nations' Trophy.
Once there was a time
cricket was eating our time
as the game was too long
as long as six days' long
including the day long interval
to make us worry and gamble
about who would win the game,
never mind the youngsters' exam
turning out to be a losing game.
Then came one dayer
which is really a thriller;
not to doubt the poor umpire,
I.C.C. installed the third umpire
giving no chance for a wrong decision
for run out
or any other doubtful out
which is a difficult mission
because of poor vision
borne by the manual umpire
until all the batsmen retire.
Umpire's physical presence
on the field is mandatory
until the completion of all overs
which are obligatory;
except in exceptional time
in order to save precious time,
he orders
cut in overs
to put the play in order.
He does not leave any one
including the respectable one
to punish for the alleged misbehaviour
even if the number is six or more.
He is jealous, he is not playing
but made to standstill
that too until
all overs are over.
He is jealous, he is questioned of his umpiring
when verified in the third umpiring,
his given out is made not out.
He is jealous, as no one,
nor Dawood, nor any Booky
has contacted him
to fix the match with him
which he thinks
is the best way
to twist the ways
by his simple decision
to achieve booky's mission
thereby his own vision.
Nana, I dont know nothing about Cricket, I am sure I will catch up with it seeing Papa's madness in following IPL. If you leave it to me, you know I may end up following only NFL, Basketball & Baseball - (a typical couch Potato, huh?). Anyways, I will follow the Twenty20 & Bangalore Royal Challengers as both Papa & Amma support this team :)
ReplyDeleteGood job Anna :)
