hulikunti trust

my parents
This is purely written for my individual satisfaction and I don't want to convey anything to anyone.  Hope this is enough to convey to all who come across this page.

update as of August 1, 2020
I had in my mind to do some kind of service to poor brahmin students who learn Sanskrit so that members of our family should always remember my father, Sri. Hulikunti Rao.  Hence, Hulikunti Trust was formed in November 2013.  The trust was symbolically inaugurated on November 30, 2013 and we had conducted the inaugural program.   The trust doesn't conduct any programs, instead takes initiative in helping the needy poor.  Why simply show off?  On my request during the year 2014, Prerana Rao, Chaitra Rao, Vadiraja Sonny Ramamurthy and Madhu Tippuru Srikantarao are donating money to the trust on a continuous basis to be utilised for poor brahmin students who learn वेद पाठ (Veda Patha) in particular and also provide financial assistance to poor brahmin students in general.

I have come across many poor students during these 7 years and they have been assisted financially in a small way.  Let me not mention those details.  I am of the opinion that what we do as charity/donation/help or assistance should never be remembered by us nor should these assistance be recorded. I feel, even the members of my family follow this.  The activities of the trust should be limited to fulfilling our passion and to be happy while at the same time paying tribute to my parents. Hence this blog has information only about inauguration and conveying our thoughts  without  documenting on details of assistance rendered by the trust.
end.

When the trust was formed in November 2013, we wanted to conduct a function involving all the members of our family and dear friends in a simple way.  We had conducted our program under the banner 'Hulikunti Trust' with my brother Dr. P H Sethumadhava Rao giving a lecture on 'Problems in learning Sanskrit, how to overcome them & popularising Sanskrit Education'.

HULIKUNTI TRUST is being formed to render social service to humanity in loving memory of late Smt. Radha Bai and late Sri. Hulikunti Rao. Sri. Hulikunti Rao (MA in Sanskrit) was an authority in many fields such as English and Sanskrit Literature, Philosophy, Astrology and so on. His passion to read and write his thoughts down as essays was exemplary. Most of his writings are revered by his children even today. Many eminent scholars and professors of University of Mysore are indebted to Sri. Hulikunti Rao for his guidance and valuable advice on important matters concerning Sanskrit. His free coaching service to the student community in inculcating Sanskrit language can never be forgotten. He was also an avid astrologer whose predictions would come true when he analysed horoscopes of his kith and kin. His command over English and Sanksrit was so good that the members of his family never had to use any dictionary when he was easily approachable. It is sad to note that he never got recognised in the community as he did not wish for it. Smt.Radha Bai was a homemaker. She dedicated her entire life in upbringing the children and her siblings. She had innumerable devi sthotras/songs/bhajans by-hearted and each festival had a glittering effect. The dedication of Smt. Radha Bai and Sri. Hulikunti Rao made their children and grandchildren highly educated today. This Trust creates a platform to all the members of Hulikunti Rao Family including the relatives of each one of them to render any kind of social service which would strengthen family bonding and carry HULIKUNTI TRUST to greater heights. To begin with, Suresh Hulikunti Rao has chosen to provide the space (room at 2833/C, First Floor, First Main Road, Jayanagar, Mysore 570 014, Karnataka, India) for free of rent to pave way for expanding Sanskrit education amongst students. The Trust would recognise the poor students and try for the student's welfare by assisting in many ways.
The registered address of the trust is at Hulikunti Trust, No.1451, 6th Cross Road, Krishna Murthy Puram, Mysore 570004, Karnataka, India.

Here are some pictures of the inauguration day.
