help the poor and meritorious..how far is this acceptable?

Reality and thoughts
Organisations are there to help poor/lower middle class, but the catch is that students should be very very meritorious.

We should look at the reality in society. On account of poverty, most parents are not properly educated leading to their children being average in studies. There may be some exceptions. But stating the condition for providing the financial assistance only to highly meritorious students needs a rethinking in my view. This condition would restrict the number of students to a very small percentage. If organisations help the average students also, at least these students’ next generations will not be poor.

Let us look at the educational background of the poor family too from now on and help the poor students who are average in studies also apart from the students who have poverty with intelligence. What do you think?
